Getting outdoors is always important for kids and parents, but even more so in difficult times. Wildrock offers booking times for small groups and families to get away from it all.
Located in the Blue Ridge Foothills of Albemarle county Virginia, Wildrock is a place where young children can play independently in a beautiful area with learning stations and a crayfish creek. There are also hiking trails, meadows, streams, and mountain views.
In the few years since it's creation, this non-profit has provided an amazing number of services to schools, children and adults with special needs, teacher trainings, and family fun days.
Though this sounds like an ad, I have no fiscal relationship with Wildrock. I do have a teaching relationship with many young families who are struggling right now and I can't think of a better place to spend a day - and get out of the house!
